User Agreement

Welcome to ColleaguesPlus.com.  Please read this agreement carefully before using the site.  The following states the terms and conditions that govern Member access to and Member use of the site and any programs, services, products, forums, blogs, postings, and information available through the site or used in connection therewith.  References to “you” mean the user of the site, both individually and as a representative of any organization on whose behalf you may be accessing the site.  You will be bound to these terms by clicking “I Accept” at the end.  If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you cannot access areas of the Site that are restricted to Member Users only.  

By creating a user account and participating in ColleaguesPlus.com services, you are agreeing to the following terms.  Before you may become a member of ColleaguesPlus.com, you must read and accept all of the terms and conditions in this User Agreement.  By accepting this User Agreement, you accept that the conditions apply to all areas of the ColleaguesPlus.com domain that are accessible to User Members.  User Members that accept the User Agreement understand that the ColleaguesPlus.com Administrative Team reserves the right to remove any content, including, but not limited to, comments, postings, pictures, videos, audio files, or data files posted by users, and may remove any user at any time solely at our discretion.  ColleaguesPlus.com reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.  

Using ColleaguesPlus.com 

While using ColleaguesPlus.com you will not:

  • Post material that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, obscene, or material that you know is inaccurate;
  • Use the site as a User Member if you are under the age of 18 or are temporarily or indefinitely suspended from the Site;
  • Distribute or post spam, chain letters, advertisements, or pyramid schemes;
  • Distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm ColleaguesPlus.com, or the interests or property of ColleaguesPlus.com users;
  • Copy, modify, or distribute content from the Site and ColleaguesPlus.com trademarks without the expressed permission of ColleaguesPlus.com and/or Grand Valley State University College of Education;
  • Harvest or collect information about users, including email addresses, without their consent;
  • Create multiple user accounts or create user accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretenses  

Violation of any of the preceding may result in immediate termination of this Agreement. ColleaguesPlus.com reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to investigate your use of the Site in order to determine whether a violation of the Agreement has occurred or to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. 

Abusing ColleaguesPlus.com  

The ColleaguesPlus.com Administrative Team and its associates will work to keep the online community respectful and decent.  Please report any problems, offensive content, and policy violations to us immediately.  ColleaguesPlus.com reserves the right to remove any content or user solely at our discretion.  Additionally, without limiting other remedies, we may limit, suspend, or terminate our service and user accounts, prohibit access to our website, delay or remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep users off the Site if we think that they are creating problems, possible legal liabilities, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies. We also reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for a long time.


No Guarantee of Security or Confidentiality  

We make reasonable efforts to store and safeguard the data you submit but do not and cannot guarantee that the data will be secure or confidential, or that your submissions to or use of the Site will not become known to your employer or any other third party. Use of the Internet and the Site is solely at your own risk and is subject to all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
